Heritage Week 2016 At St Patrick’s Cathedral
Heritage Week is back on the 20th of August to the 28th of August. St. Patrick’s Cathedral will be hosting a variety of tours, organ recitals, talks and music for the public for free. The programme will include the following:
Organ Recitals – Saturday 20th and 27th at 18.15
Free recitals showcasing the Cathedral’s mighty Willis Organ, widely regarded as the finest organ in Ireland and with all the performance action relayed on a giant screen
Event Images (4)Bellringing Tours – Saturday 20th and 27th at 10.00, 12.00, 14.00, 16.00
Each tour will last about 45 minutes and will include a demonstration on six bells. Participants must be over 12 years of age, physically fit, and comfortable in tight spaces. Registration essential
Music for Lunch – 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th at 13.15
The popular Music for Lunch recital series takes place daily in the intimate surroundings of the recently refurbished Lady Chapel. A great lineup of musicians this series performing a mixture music.
