ThomasStreetDublin.com – New Portal Launched!

Thomas Street, Dublin 8, Ireland - traders association website

The traders on Thomas Street have launched a brand new website which lists the businesses in the area, and gives some useful and interesting information about the general locality. There’s some info about local landmarks and a page which translates Dublin expressions into different languages. Some of the terms translated include jahearbout yer wan, get up outa tha and what’s d’ story?

Here is what that Thomas Street Business Association had to say about their new portal…

A great new face for Thomas Street! Thomas Street Business Association (TSBA) is today launching a new internet portal for Thomas Street Dublin – www.thomasstreetdublin.com

The new website, which has been created by a talented group of locally-based IT and design professionals led by Content Kings, Fluid Rock and Treetop Studio (all based in the Guinness Enterprise Centre), is intended to showcase the very best that Thomas Street has to offer in a fun and colourful way. The website has been delivered by a volunteer group as part of our #90DaysforThomasSt Action Plan to reinvigorate and rejuvenate our historic market street in the heart of Dublin’s famous Liberties.

The site features community news and events, street history, business listings, information on how to get to Thomas Street and much, much more. You can connect to our Facebook and Twitter pages and you can sign-up for regular newsletters and event listings. You’ll even spot a couple of the street’s colourful characters among the pages and learn how to talk like a Dub!

As time goes on we will add to the site until it becomes the ‘must visit’ website for visitors to the street, whether from Dublin or from farther afield. This is a community website, so we want to hear your views on the site and to share your news and events on its ‘What’s On!’ and ‘What’s D’Story!’ pages.

It’s all here on Thomas Street at the heart of Dublin’s heritage!

TSBA would like to express huge thanks to Brian at Content Kings, Cait and Olly and team at Fluid Rock and Aisling at Treetop for their volunteer time and combined creative genius to realise this great new resource for our street and for their support of the Thomas Street Project.
