Once again, this is a testament to our talented Irish workforce and also to Ireland as a great place to do business. I wish Paul and his team all the best for the future,” the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’Connor TD, said at the launch of the new centre.

ATT is currently looking for project managers to join their team. this would be a great opportunity for someone who enjoys new projects and assisting small or medium consortiums in different technology domains.

ATT has offices in four countries, Ireland (Dublin), UK (London) , Italy (Rome) and Lithuania (Vilnius). The COO, Paul Pietranglo, of ATT said that they chose Dublin as a new location for their expanding company, because “it is one of the best places in the world for start-ups to grow and do business”, adding that the many research focused universities and big tech companies in Dublin are a huge attraction for companies that do what they do.

ATT has a client base of 160 clients per year, works with 8 partners and has completed 57 projects in the last 2 years and 8 months. The company was founded in October 2013, to specifically focus on the SME Instrument with Horizon 2020 when helping to establish new and innovative enterprises.

What is the SME Instrument? SME stands for Small and Medium Enterprises. A small enterprise employees fewer than 50 employees and has an annual turnover of about €10 million and a medium sized enterprise employs between 50 and 249 employees with an annual turnover of €50 million.

Horizon 2020 is considered the biggest EU Research and Innovative programme ever, financing Small and Medium Enterprises. Horizon 2020 has made €80 billion of funding available for a period of seven years (starting in 2014 – 2020).

SME will have a choice of 13 topics to choose from if they want to avail of funding and management from ATT, making for a  vast expanse to be explored. Topics like Space Research and Development; Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials; Healthcare Biotechnologies, Biomarkers, Diagnostic and Medical Devices; and Low Carbon Energy Systems are on the list of topics for prospective candidates.
