St. Teresa Gardens Redevelopement

St Teresa’s Gardens Redevelopment – Craig O Reilly surmmarises the redevelopment plans for St Teresa’s Gardens

The Land Development Agency, on behalf of Dublin City Council, have submitted a planning application for the redevelopment of St. Teresa’s Gardens.

The development aims to provide 546 mixed housing apartments, with 154 apartments reserved for Social housing and 389 cost rental apartments available.

The site is bordered by the Coombe hospital and the Player Willis Factory. It comprises an area of 3.26 ha.

The Blocks of apartments vary in height; and have the following breakdown in allocation numbers:

Block DCC1 comprises 111 no. apartments in a block of 6-7 stories
Block DCC3 comprises 247 no. apartments in a block of 6-15 stories
Block DCC5 comprises 132 no. apartments in a block of 2-7 stories
Block DCC6 comprises 53 no. apartments in a block of 7 stories (public)

4,417 sqm will be allocated to a communal amenity space. The development includes outdoor public spaces; a cafe, a creche and play areas.

There will be provision made for parking spaces; 79 car spaces will be available at undercroft level, and there will be 906 numbered bicycle parking spaces.

The development is intended to link up and inter-connect with developments at the Bailey Gibson and Player Willis sites.
