Castle Dracula Experience
The Castle Dracula Experience museum offers you an interactive experience, taking you on a heart pounding journey through Castle Dracula and terrifying enactments creating the unique spine chilling story of the Count and his victims.

Children’s Ghoulish Graveyard Tour 2014
Ghastly Glasnevin is hosting a one of a kind Halloween tour for children aged 6 – 12, running from the 25th of October till the 27th. The tour will be given by the Ace of Spades, who will terrifically terrify you with tales of gruesome truths and funny folklore. Are you curious to discover how the legend of the headless horse man came to pass or perhaps you’d like to hear the story of the unfortunate Vincent brothers and the cursed ‘Black Aggie’ statue? If so the Ghastly Glasnevin children’s tour is for you. Ghoulish giggles guaranteed.

Samhain Halloween Event in the Marlay Park will be a Free fright fest of spooky thrills and chills at the Samhain Halloween Haunted Forest Walk hosted by DLR Events.
Visit to Marlay Park to discover the spooktacular Haunted Forest made bigger and better with the haunted woods are not for the faint hearted with spooky characters, scary noises, the eerie fog and strange sights to behold! . You’ll be led along a woodland walkway lit by festoons, where you will find plenty of thrilling treats and surprises that will be alive, for one night only with freaky fog, ghastly spiders and dragons, creepy eyeballs and pumpkins, spine chilling skeletons and menacing witches and wizards.
Children of all ages are welcome to partake in the festivities with ghosts, ghouls and games galore!
Festoon lighting, sound effects and smoke will all add to the scare factor and the haunted forest will stay open until 8.30pm. The haunted woods are not for the faint hearted with all the big spooky characters, scary noises and eerie fog!
The walk is approx 1.7km long on a path suitable for buggies/wheelchairs.
The observance of Halloween, which dates from the dark ages, has long been associated with thoughts of witches, ghosts, devils and hobgoblins. Over the years, the customs and rituals associated with Halloween have changed dramatically. Today, many of the young and “young-at-heart” take a more light-hearted approach and the colourful festival has become family-oriented celebration.
Familyfun Tip:-
- Entry by Wristband Only – available free
- WRISTBANDS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.
- There are no activities inside the house; the haunted forest is an outdoor event – please dress appropriately.
- The Marlay Park coffee shop will be open late for the event there will be some other goodies available to buy on the night to keep the chill away
- Remember there will be no Fireworks display at this event.
- As a crowd control measure at this year’s event they are introducing a wristband system that will give you entry at 3.30pm, 4.30pm, 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
- Regrettably we cannot facilitate any reservations or prebooking – wristbands can only be obtained by collection in person” in the WRISTBANDS section.
- Wristbands can be collected at the DLR Coco Market in Marlay Park on Saturday October 18th & Saturday October 25th from 11am each day.
- Wristbands will be available while stocks last on a strictly first come, first served basis, limited to six per family
- The Haunted Woods will be open between 3.30pm and 8.30pm and Entry is FREE & by WRISTBAND ONLY

The Samhain Event will be divided into 5 separate attendance sessions. Divisions will be on the hour as follows: 3.30pm, 4.30pm, 5.30 pm, 6.30pm, and 7.30pm. The cut off for entry will be 8pm. Each time slot will have its own colour coded and printed wristbands. Patrons will only be allowed to queue from the time specified on their wristband. There will not be a charge for entry.
Wristbands will be allocated on a first come first served basis while stocks last for each attendance session. An upper limit of 6 wristbands will be allowed for any one person. Patrons are encouraged to obtain wristbands in advance of the day.
Wristbands will be distributed at times and locations below:
- DLR Coco Market in Marlay Park on Saturday October 19th & Saturday October 26th from 11am each day

Signage in Marlay Park will direct patrons to the distribution locations.
The College Road Car Park will be the only car park available for the Samhain Event on Sunday 27th of October.
DLR Events recommends the use of public transport or walk to the event where possible. All times are approximate and subject to change. There is limited car parking in the car park off College Rd. This Halloween, guests can step inside their own personal horror movie as they experience the terrifying Haunted Spooktacular Horror Farm. Since it has opened the attraction has been a great success selling out last year attracting thrill-seekers from all across Ireland and overseas. Covering 10 Acres of Fear the Scream Team behind the Horror Farm plan to push the boundaries for 2013 with a feast of new frights combining claustrophobia, and state of the art special effects to create an EXTREME Scream Experience. The Attractions combine live actors, Special effects sounds to create a unique, four dimensional assault on the senses.
