Our very own Keith Fitzpatrick will be making his TV acting debut on the set of Love/Hate for its new season this autumn. Keith was talent spotted by RTE after he starred in “First Impressions”, a Fountain Youth produced film last October (read more here). The movie was shown in the Irish Film Institute on the big screen, as part of wider presentation of film work by youth projects who utilise the Reel Youth Programme. Keith’s performance got the attention of RTE scouts, who requested his contact details.
At this stage, it looks like Keith will be involved in six months worth of recordings and will have some dialogue throughout the series. Considering this is one of RTE’s flagship programmes (certainly in the drama section of its line up) this certainly is a significant start to a young person’s career should they want to pursue one in acting.
The Reel Youth programme, which has been excellently implemented by Paul, Nicola and the other staff members of the Fountain Youth, will start with all new would be stars soon. As a message to all those who have the chance to participate in the programme, Keith’s example should demonstrate its value, these are not small time films but have the potential to be career starters!
