Ever wondered about opening you own business or have done so in the past, but for some reason failed? I think most of us have. Starting up a business involves a lot of preparation and it is always good to know the tricks of the trade. The Wood Quay Venue in Dublin 8 will be hosting the Startup Gathering 2015 from the 5th to 10th October.
There will be 50 events held during 5 days in Dublin, Waterford, Cork, Limerick and Galway Cities. 5 industries and 16 businesses will come together during the Startup Gathering to discuss the success they have earned and what they did to help grow their companies and capital in Ireland. The Startup Gathering will begin with the first of the events to be held in Dublin8, before it makes its way across the rest of the country.
“We are delighted to be involved in the Startup Gathering, and to put forward such a wide range of companies willing to tell their tales. These companies are typical of the businesses we support, coming from technology, food, web and the creative industries sectors,” Greg Swift, the Head of Enterprise at Dublin City Council said about the upcoming events.
The five day event will cover topics related to technology, creative industries, eCommerce and food industries in discussions to be delivered by participating businesses. These companies supported by Dublin City’s Local Enterprise Office (LEO) were founded in the last 5 years and are therefore relatively new to the industries they have entered, but they have all achieved great success.
During the events there will also be free speed mentoring, consisting of short advice sessions with expert business mentors heading the sessions and networking over coffee and lunch breaks.
