Another World
Another World. By/Tony Gorman – Another wonderful poem from our resident poet Tony Gorman
How beautiful our earth is
Away from all its grit
Away from all its mayhem
That some people bring to it
Away from all the killing
Away from evil men
Away from all the wars they start
That never touches them

First Snow of Winter
First Snow of Winter 4th March 2016 by/Tony Gorman
I watched the first snowflake’s fall gently in the breeze
And slowly build on branches as they settled in the trees
Creating a white outline on those branches big and small

One with an upper class grill
The other bar was for locals
True working class city folk
An honest bunch of customers

Some were Dockers others...
Autumn in the Phoenix Park
Autumn in the Phoenix Park

And trees are changing their attire
Some leaves they show a vibrant splay
Of greens and yellows and red that glows like fire
And when the dawn awakes
And the sun it dances in the sky

Bring Back Dublin of Old!
The Above picture is from The RTE Archives and Depicts a Dublin Metropolitan Constable
Take the Dublin of today in an open sort of way
And compare it with Dublin of past
There were places you’d go without any fear
And we thought those old days they would last
We enjoyed a night out for a drink or...
