The big news in this week’s planning permission is permission has been granted for a large residential development in Clancy Barracks. The residential units will be built in the existing barracks as it is a protected structure. The oldest of the barracks dates from the late 18th century and has been used for filming for popular TV series such as “Ripper Street”. The development is large in scale, 164 dwellings, a mixture of apartments and housing.
