The Dublin Flea Market Returns
Fans of antiques, vinyl records, books, vintage clothing and furniture rejoice, the Dublin Flea Market is finally returning. After a long hiatus they have finally found a new home.
Last year the Dublin Flea Market, along with several other markets, fell victim to the constant redevelopment in Dublin 8 and had to leave their old home at Newmarket Square. After a long year of searching for a suitable venue a solution has been found. It was announced on their social media accounts that the Dublin Flea Market would now be taking place on the grounds of the digital hub on Thomas Street. It will be conveniently located behind Container Coffee, which is ideal for when you need a coffee and sandwich break from bargain hunting. It will take place on the final Sunday of May, June and July.
If you are interested in setting up a stall they will be accepting applications from next week for all three months through their website www.dublinflea.ie, but you won’t want to delay as there will only be 45 stalls available due to restricted space.
With the exception of two Christmas markets, the market hasn’t operated since May 2018 and its return will be welcomed by many. A lot of people have missed spending their Sundays rummaging through different stalls, rifling through bookshelves, rooting through boxes of vinyl records, inspecting furniture and haggling over prices all in search of the best bargains. Sundays in Dublin 8 haven’t been the same since the Dublin Flea Market went on hiatus and for some the 26th of May can’t come soon enough.
