St Patrick’s Day 2019
It’s the time of the year to don the Shamrock, get out the flags, paint the town green and celebrate Ireland’s favourite reptile eradicator.
Apparently St Patrick’s day is a week long affair these days. I remember when is was a Bord na Mona float pulled by a tractor, followed by an ESB van and Paddy Dracula.
The theme of the parade this year is storytelling and the festival will bring to life the contemporary tales of Ireland, past, present and future through giant inflatable robots and flamenco dancers probably.
The parade will commence at 12pm on Parnell St,travel up O’Connell St,Dame St,Patrick’s St and finish on Kevin’s Street.
As always make sure you have picked your spot a few hours before it kicks off,the parade not the fighting that is.
