SkateD8: Local Skateboarders Campaign For Skate Park In Dublin 8

SkateD8 video, turn derelict Dublin 8 site into Skate Park

A group of young people from the area have started a campaign to get a skateboard park for the youths of the area to use. They make the point that over 7,000 teenagers attend school in the South West Inner City, and not all of them would like to play football.

They say that the diversity of interests amongst young people should be catered for, and considering the diversity of cultures within our city, that is a very relevant point in this day and age.

The SkateD8 group have setup a Facebook page, and a YouTube channel to push their cause, and have published a very emotive video which sets out their argument. Here is that video…
