Remembering Craig Waza Hanlon

A Plaque, Tree and Painting in memory of the beloved young man was unveiled  on Monday 9th of February at 4.30 pm at the green area behind the soccer pitch in Basin Lane.

The Lord May of Dublin, Criona Na Dhaliagh was in attendance to assist in the unveiling with Craig’s brothers, Sean and Evan.

Emotional speeches that warmed the heart on an otherwise freezing windy day were given by Connor Fitzgerald and Aaron Byrne, while the plaque was unveiled by Darren West.

At the very end of this beautiful ceremony balloons were released into the sky as if Craig himself was looking down.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, though it is something positive to note that the community, as visible by the numbers at the event on Monday, are firmly, right behind them.
