Peter McVerry Trust development New Street Dublin.
Funded through the capital assistance scheme under Rebuilding Ireland -the previous government’s housing plan.
The project on New Street is in the process of redevelopment, to provide much-needed housing on a derelict brownfields site owned by Dublin City Council.
Eight apartments consisting of three two-bed and five one-bed are to be constructed at the cost of two million euros.
The redevelopment is part of the trust’s ongoing effort to provide housing to single people who are the main cohort in homelessness and the wider social housing list.
All the apartments will be assigned through the DCC housing list.
Completion of the development is expected in late 2020.
