NCAD Now Hiring New Staff
The National College of Art and Design has advertised 27 new positions at the college; academic, administration and technical positions have become available. The closing dates for all jobs are Friday the 9th of September 2016 and for the position of Head of School of Design the closing date is Tuesday the 25th of October 2016.
So far seven new posts were filled. “I would like to congratulate those who have recently joined our staff, whether they have joined us on an academic or administrative level they are now a part of an institution that is committed to the highest standards in education and academic excellence – as evidenced by NCAD ranking for two years running in the world’s top 100 art and design schools.
“I look forward to welcoming the full cohort of 34 newly appointed members of staff over the coming weeks and months to this contemporary and culturally significant institution on its historic campus,” the Acting Director at NCAD, Bernard Hanratty said.
The college is currently looking for a Head of School, Head of First Year Art and Design, Head of Department, Lecturers and Assistant Lecturers and people who can fill academic affairs and research posts.
Even though the college was going through a financially troubled time and experiencing problems with staff and governance, things have changed for the better and they are now in a position to hire more staff.
“The College has turned a corner. Our ambition is to fully deliver the potential of NCAD’s renewed curriculum to secure and extend the College’s national and international reputation as one of the leading art and design colleges in the world.
“The management at NCAD has a collaborative and constructive relationship with the HEA and in the past year has worked closely to address issues and secure our funding levels. Our board working closely with management is resolute in its mission to restore the College to a position of strength from which to pursue new horizons,” Mr Hanratty said.
