Liberties Fun Run 2024
It is nearly time to start pounding the pavement (or should we say cobblestones) in aid of the St. James’s Hospital Foundation. The 16th annual Liberties fun run has been announced.
The 4-mile timed road race will take place on Wednesday July 24th with a start time of 7:45pm. So, you still have plenty of time to train and get race fit, there will be no excuses for not crossing the finish line.
The event, which attracts around 1500 runners, joggers and walkers each year, will start and finish on the grounds of the Irish Royal Hospital Kilmainham. Along the 4-mile route you can see some of the Liberties most iconic landmarks including St James’s Gate, Francis Street, The Coombe and Fatima. These sights not only provide a great backdrop for your run, they also give you a perfect excuse to stop for a minute and catch your breath.
Online registration is now open at https://www.popupraces.ie/race/liberties-fun-run-2024/ and costs €45 or its free if you fundraise, providing you reach the minimum fundraising target of €200. All of the money raised will be used to improve patient care at St James’s Hospital.
