King Con – Conor Hamiliton New EP out soon – Alan Finn talks about Conor Hamiliton’s new release “Give it a go” out this December
Conor Hamilton, the 16 year old singer songwriter from Pearse Street, Dublin City, has a lot going for him right now. He is about to be huge, maybe not so huge that he will be hanging off Liberty Hall, banging on his chest and trying to take down bi-planes. But I think he will be well on his way, when King Con releases his new EP ‘Give it a go’, which hits the shelves December 5th.
The EP is a little gem and if you haven’t gotten yourself a copy yet, it’s available from Tower Records and HMV. The EP was written by Conor, who believes in seeing the best of situations when the chips are down. The four singles include the recent release ‘You’ve Got It In You’ as well as ‘Overkill’, ‘Famous Personality’ and one of my favorite songs on this EP, ‘Long Time Coming’. The EP is one of my favourite Irish releases this year. It was produced and mixed at Temple Lane Studio by Michael Heffernan, who in recent times worked his magic with The Script’s new album. Conor writes and performs all of the songs and instruments on the EP.
The day after the release of the EP on Saturday 6th December, buy 10 valium Conor will be headlining the Academy, level 2, on Abbey Street in Dublin. Tickets are only €12.00 and they can be purchased at ticketmaster.ie. Door’s open at 7pm and the show will start at 7.30pm. The show is billed as an under 18 event and it will be over by 10pm. One of the two supporting acts on the night will be Shauna Kenny, a local girl from Kevin Street here in the Dublin 8 area. Do watch out for this young and very talented singer and songwriter.
Conor will also be supporting Irish singer and song writer, Damien Dempsey for the second time, on Sunday 7th December 2014, at the Abbey Tarven Hotel in Howth, Co Dublin.
As you may be aware, Conor is the very first Teen Ambassador to the Samaratians, the charity that provides a talking service to help people who may be feeling down or suicidal. Conor will be out on Grafton Street along with carol singers rasing funds for this wonderful charity. Conor along with the carol singers will be out on 13th and 20th of December. Do drop by and say hello. You can catch Conor and the carol singers from 2pm to 4pm.
