An exciting new competition has been launched. The Dublin Space Invaders competition invites teams of 2-4 planning students/graduates to redevelop a site on Thomas Street. The winners will be chosen after all entrants have presented their plans to a jury, and their plans will be on display in the Dublin City Council offices.

There is a cash prize also on offer for the winners, but the main emphasis of this contest is to find viable plans that may inspire the owners of this derelict plot of land, The Digital Hub.

The winning design will be chosen based on the following criteria; Context, Connections, Inclusivity, Variety, Efficiency, Distinctiveness, Layout and Public Realm. Plus, the organisers are asking entrants to think outside the box, and “Plan beyond site-line. Rethink the site, transform the area”.
