Council Proposes Upgrade for Vicar Street Playground
Dublin City Council have announced plans for an upgrade to the playground at the corner of Vicar Street and Swift’s Alley.
The plan is to expand the size of the current playground by creating two circular areas surrounded by planting, turning the space into a small parklet. The first circular area will be the playground which will include a see-saw, slide and curved seating. The second area will consist of an ornamental tree encircled by two large curved benches. The area will be resurfaced and a variety of trees and flowers will be planted to help create a welcoming, peaceful space.
The project is expected to be completed later this year. If you have any comments or concerns about the proposal, you can email the DCC South Central Area at southcentral@dublincity.ie.
