We are very pleased to see that Alice Lynskey has made it though to the final of RTE’s songwriting series, THE HIT. Her song, entitled ‘Run and Hide’, was recorded by The Stunning and released last week, alongside a competing track, ‘New Tatoo’ which was wrote by Dublin-based, Tommy Moore, and recorded/released by Julie Feeney.
Alice’s song, ‘Run and Hide’ ended up at number 6 in this week’s IRMA official Irish Chart, whilst ‘New Tatoo’ ended up at number 9. This means that Alice will now be back at Dublin’s O2 on August 30th for the final of THE HIT, which will also be broadcasted live by RTE.
Its fantastic to see Alice doing so well. Writing a Top 10 track at 21 years of age is no mean feat, so we will be sitting down for a chat with Alice over the coming weeks, and will publish an interview with her prior to the final.
