Spaghetti Bolognese Recipe
Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large white onion finely chopped
500g Mince meat
Two jars of tomato and herb sauce
4-5 cloves garlic crushed
Half dried chorizo chopped
1 Tsp Mixed herbs
4 tbsp white/red wine vinegar
Pinch of salt
Pinch of sugar
Tablespoon ketchup
Serve with
Spaghetti
Parmesan cheese to serve
Method
- Add finely chopped onions to a pan with a drop of olive oil, on medium heat and fry until soft.
- Next, add the mince meat to the pan and fry until sealed and brown.
- Add the onions, mince meat, tomato and herb sauce, garlic, chorizo, mixed herbs, white wine vinegar, salt, sugar and ketchup to a large pot.
- Simmer for at least 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Add a drop of milk if bolognese becomes too thick.
- Serve with spaghetti and grated parmesan.
(You can also add mushrooms and carrots depending on what you like)
TIP: The longer you cook the Bolognese the better it tastes. I like to cook it for a 7 hours the day before its served.
