With their current EP “Electric Love” topping the i-Tunes charts and another gig announced later on this month, Keywest, the Dublin band that started off busking on the streets of here and Galway, have travelled a long way. After a sell out performance last October in Vicar Street, Aiken Promotions have booked them for another night on Saturday 29th March. Tickets are only a mere €19.00 so be quick, be very quick as their first gig sold out in a flash.
The band got its break last year, when RTE used one of their tunes, “The Message” to promote their Autumn line up. This led to the band getting massive exposure on the radio wave and their current success. Hot Press magazine went as far as to say that the album (of the same name) was one of the best releases of the year.
Single releases from that album include “Feels So Cruel”, “Back into Your Arms” and Stuck on Replay” have managed to bridge the Atlantic and become well played tracks in the US too. The group will travel over to the States in November of this year to do some shows before coming back to Ireland to finish off the year with some Christmas performances.
