Homemade Granola Recipe
Granola is a great for breakfast or a snack but it also makes a great gift! Here is a simple recipe which I guarantee is foolproof! All it takes is a batch of rolled oats and whatever seeds, nuts and fruit your heart desires.
Ingredients
250g rolled oats
50g sunflower seeds
50g pumpkin seeds
100g dried berries (I use raisins)
Pinch of salt
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
4 tbsp of maple syrup or honey
Method
- Preheat oven to 180’c /160’c fan
- In a bowl mix together the oats, seeds, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Drizzle maple syrup and mix until well combined.
- Empty mixture out onto baking sheet, making sure mixture is spread out evenly.
- Bake for 20mins stirring half way through, add raisins at this point.
- Keep a close eye you want the granola to be light gold in colour.
- Store in an airtight container, this will last up to two weeks.
- Serve with your favourite fruit, natural yoghurt and a drizzle of honey.
- Enjoy!
