Creating a Vision Board
A vision board is basically a way of clarifying your goals by visualising them happening. I have created my own vision boards over the years, and 9 times out of 10 my goals have come true. However this only occurs if you are in a positive and energetic mindset. If you are feeling negative and unmotivated it is more difficult to manifest your goals. This is because of ‘the law of attraction’. This means ‘like attracts like’. Unconciously, we can encourage both positive and negative experiences into our lives. I’m not saying this is always the case, of course life throws painful, unexpected experiences at us too. When this happens it is particularly difficult to stay upbeat. This is where affirmations come in. These are extremely important for our overall health. They allow us to quieten that nasty voice in our head. That parrot’s on ‘you don’t deserve this’. ‘You can’t do that’ etc. We have all experienced this unpleasant voice at some point in our lives, and when we choose to believe it, we have fallen into a downward spiral of low self-esteem and negativity. However, daily affirmations will help to dispel this nasty voice, and encourage us to see the good in ourselves.
The law of attraction encourages us to focus our attention on what we really want, not what we don’t want. It is about listening to our intuition, not our head. Some people practice morning affirmations to set them up for a good day, or to help them cope if it is a challenging day. The ‘law of attraction’ is based on the book ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne. In this book Rhonda explains how ‘the law of attraction’ influenced her life. Many geniuses discovered the law of attraction and became extremely famous. These include Einstein, Beethoven, Plato, Leonardo, Napoleon, Hugo, Galileo, Edison and others.
Our heads our filled with negative, limiting beliefs about ourselves and things, such as money. I know when I was growing up I was under the impression that rich people were greedy, and wanting a lot of money was a bad thing. This concept has stayed with me over the years, and whenever I have made more money I have felt uncomfortable about it, and have wanted to spend it. I still have to work on this limiting belief. But thankfully it is dissipating slowly, but surely.
How to make a vision board
A vision board is easy to create. You can get some cardboard or even a piece of paper, it can be coloured or plain, whatever you want it to be, because it is for you. You can cut out pictures from a magazine, or download pictures off the internet, of a car, a romantic partner, a house, or whatever you want to manifest into your life. Then you can stick them to the board with glue or pritt stick and place it on your wall or somewhere you can see it. For instance, if you want to live in France and have a house with a swimming pool, get a picture of France and put a picture of the type of house and swimming pool you want onto your vision board. Then you need to visualise that this is where you live. When applying the law of attraction it is important to imagine that you are presently living in this house, and feel what it is like to live there. A way to feel this is to say ‘thank you for my lovely house in France’. Always remain in a state of gratitude in order for your dreams to manifest. If you want more money, you can download a blank cheque off the internet, and put the amount of money you want onto it. You can also write down things or people you want in your life. Remember not to put what you don’t want onto it. For example if you don’t want Tom to be your new manager next year and focus on this. Then guess what! Tom will more than likely be your new manager next year! I know this from experience. I have focused on what I haven’t wanted in the past when I didn’t fully undersand the law of attraction, and I received what I didn’t want! If you get this thought into your head, remember to replace it with ‘I’d love Marian to be my new manager next year’ etc.
Positive affirmations
I am happy today and I welcome all good into my life
I am healthy and rejuvenated
Abundance and Money comes easily to me
I am loved and I love others
I am beautiful in every way
I am intelligent and creative
I am fit and energetic
I believe in myself and my abilities
I am strong and confident
I accept myself the way I am
I am special and important
I love myself unconditionally
I welcome new opportunities into my life to help me to grow
I am grateful for all the good in my life
Today is going to be a good day
I breathe in confidence and exhale fear
I trust that everything that happens today is for my highest good
Wonderful things come into my life
These are an example of some of the affirmations that can help you to achieve your goals and re-awaken your positive mindset. If you are having a bad day, that is okay, allow yourself to feel your feelings. Don’t berate yourself, as this will just feed into that negative voice in your head. You are strong, and you will come out of your low mood again. Then you can reconnect with your higher self by affirming those positive beliefs once more. It is possible for you to have a happy and healthy life, if you believe that you will.
