Taste of Dublin 2016
The Iveagh Gardens will be hosting the Taste of Dublin Festival this summer for four days from the 16th to the 19th of June.
Restaurants from across Dublin city will be presenting their best and most successful dishes to the public at open air restaurants and kesubos, accompanied by live entertainment to distract you from ‘overindulging’.
Michelin starred celebrity chefs and restaurants, sponsored by OpenTable, will be showing festival goers how it’s done in the hottest restaurants in Dublin.
Celebrity chefs like Anna Haugh, Lynda Booth, Cathal Armstrong, Simon Lamont, Ross Lewis and Robin Gill will be there showing off their talents.
This will be one of the only times you will get to choose and eat with the best foodmakers in the industry, all of them – in one Garden.
Over a 100 exhibitors presenting the best beers, drinks, sweets, wines, and delicacies in town will have stands across the Iveagh Gardens.
Businesses from the Liberties to watch out for at the Taste of Dublin is Teeling Whiskey and new Dublin Cookie Co.
Elaine and Jenny of The Dublin Cookie Co. has a new bakery and shop in The Liberties and handcrafts American style cookies. They will be showing off their ‘classic and wacky’ range of cookies.
The Guinness Open Gate Brewery has created a special brew for Taste of Dublin, a ‘Strawberry Porter’.
There will be samples of their latest beers for tasting – Nitro IPA, 1516 Anniversary Pilsner and their Chocolate & Vanilla Stout will feature on the menu served with delicious dishes to complement their experimental brews.
For the month of June the ‘Strawberry Porter’ will be available at the Open Gate Brewery two evenings a week (Thursdays and Fridays, 5.30 pm – 10.30 pm).
On Saturday the 18th of June the winning chef of the BUNZL Rising Star Award 2016 will be announced at the Taste of Dublin food festival.
Three young chefs, who have been shortlisted for the award, will demonstrate their signature dishes on the Electrolux Taste Theatre Stage to the judges who will decide on this year’s winner.
You won’t have to worry about service on the day – JUST EAT waiters will be on site taking orders and delivering it to you while you enjoy the open air entertainment and surroundings of the Iveagh Gardens.
Taste of Dublin has been enjoying great success worldwide. It is a fair where the best in the industry gather to showcase their brands, products, food and drink, and share their expertise with one another and the public.
Some statistics you might be interested in: 72% of the audience are from the ABC1 group; 51% are female and 49% are male; average visitor age is 35 years; 59% of visitors are from Dublin, with 21% from the Leinster region.
The festival will be sponsored by the biggest names in the world of business this year, some of them include Sony, Electrolux, Bank of Ireland, Taittinger and BUNZL McLaughlin.
