NCAD Graduate Showcase 2016 – Discover Hidden Gems
During the month of June the National College of Art and Design in Dublin 8 will be hosting an exhibition called the NCAD Graduate Showcase 2016 – Discover Hidden Gems. Works of graduate students from the art college will be on exhibition.
This is going to be a fantastic opportunity for you to go see what these students have been up to. So far this year they have provided the community with real creative entertainment and have won several awards.
There was the NCAD Fashion Show 2016 in the underground car park of the Westbury(the inspiration for the Afternoon Tea at the Westbury). Then we saw the college making it to the top 100 in the QS World University Rankings for Art and Design Colleges; not surprising when you look at the designs and art works they have been producing this past year.
Discover Hidden Gems will showcase at the NCAD Thomas Street Campus, the NCAD James’s Street Campus, John Street West School, Steambox and Elbana House.
The week will be combined with student led tours (Fine Art, Design, Visual Culture), an Open Day for Art and Design, exhibitions in the RHA Gallery, a talk by Patrick Murphy the Director, Community and Enterprise Programmes and Lab Projects on show.
