The Rialto Youth Project launched their very own creative writing book consisting of poetry, songs, plays and stories. The book launch took place in St Andrews Community Centre last week. Frankie Gaffney, author of Dublin Seven was invited to the launch and said he was delighted with the quality and creativity of the young people. Some of the younger children who took part in the making and writing of the book were only 6 years of age. Local youths from the area were also involved with contributing to the books design and illustrations.
The launch was hailed as a huge success! To get your hands on a copy of Lines From Rialto, you can call in to St Andrews Community Centre on South Circular Road or you can phone them on 01-4531-638 to reserve your copy. The book costs €5 and all proceedings go towards the Rialto Youth Project.
