Dublin Castle has some big names coming to give talks: Martin Bell – the Death of News; Robert Harris – Munich; Clair Wills – Lovers and Strangers: An Immigrant History of Post-War Britain; Chris Patten – First confession: A Sort of Memoir.
There are events being held Collins Barracks; City Hall; The Hugh Lane Gallery; Richmond Barracks, off Bulfin Road, Inchicore; Mansion House; St. Patrick’s Campus; King’s Inn. They are hosting talks on subjects ranging from ‘Ireland’s response to the Russian Revolution’, to ‘Uncovering and Rediscovering Women’s History’ and to a talk with artist Eithne Jordan.
And in our own parish St. Catherine’s Church, Thomas Street “The Abbey of St Thomas the Martyr” 13 October 11am-1pm and 14th October, 9.30am-5pm.
