The 19th Guinness Fun Triathlon will be taking place on Saturday the 8th of October again. Every year Guinness hosts the Fun Triathlon to raise funds for Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children. Participants and teams will be asked to raise at least €250 by getting sponsorships.

The Triathlon will begin at St. James’s Gate in the Bi-Centenary pool. The pool is 750 meters and athletes have to complete 30 lengths before going onto the next phase of the event, the cycle.

The cycle will start at the Guinness Bicentenary Centre and then proceed along the Quays to the Phoenix Park. In total 20 km have to be covered and triathloners will receive bottles of water at the end of the cycle before going onto the run.

The run is 5 km in total and will wind its way through the Phoenix Park. After the Fun Triathlon is finished there will be a prize giving and food and drinks for participants. This promises to be a fun day for the whole family, make it one for the diary.
