Additional information has been required for two new buildings, proposed for Windmill Site at The Digital Hub. The buildings, to be called Block E and Block F will contain 100 apartments for students (housing 493 students in total), along with commercial areas which are set to be used by the Digital Hub. That space is to be occupied by offices, retail units, cafe/restaurant and financial services. The existing Grainstore Building is also set to be refurbished, with that space also allocated for use by The Digital Hub.

An extension has also been granted to gather additional information for a huge development earmarked for a site which is surrounded by Mill Street, Blackpitts, Warrenmount Lane and Warrenmount Convent in Dublin 8. This proposed development consists of a 188 bedroom hotel with retail/office on ground level (maximum 8 floors), and an office/science and technology block (maximum 8 floors). This development will also see the facades of Tenter’s Public House and the Craftworks Building refurbished. The hotel is to have its main entrance on Mill Street, and the plans also include re-directing the River Poddle underground.
