Following the very sudden closure of a local post office in the Dublin 8 meeting is due to take place today. The post office in Rialto shut its door’s last week. No notice was given to its customers. Some of these customers are elderly and when they went to pick up their weekly pensions, a notice was displayed on the shop window informing their customers to go to Dolphin’s Barn instead. Local people have hit out at this move saying it was very sneaky and they felt that the rug was pulled out from under them.
The street meeting will take place this Tuesday 29th November 2016 outside this post office shop in Rialto at 6:30 Pm. This street meeting is been called by local eirgi councilor Damian Farrell on behalf of the eirigi. For more information, click the link below.
