Local GAA Club Seems Unbeatable

In a spectacular two-day tournament, Liffey Gaels Under 14 Gaelic football team beat all-comers to win their Dublin Division Title.

Our local heroes began the first day playing in a three games league format.
The first game set the tone as they beat Na Fianna by double scores.
In game two they played Bin Eader (who had also won their first game) and again were victorious by a double margin.

In game three they played St Monicas (who hosted the event) and yet again won by double scores, leaving them topping their group with seventy-six points scored and fifteen conceded.

After a two-hour break they played a semi-final against Ballyboden. At half-time they were four points down due to a strong wind, but they turned it around in the second-half, and triumphed by fourteen-points. Over the four games they scored over 100 points.
The following morning they played the final out in St Peregrines in Blakestown where they played Kilmacud Crokes. They were seven-points up at half time with the aid of a strong wind, but Kilmacud were a good side, and came back, narrowing the score to just one-point. Liffey Gaels then got a second wind and scored the winning goal. They ran out deserving winners.
