This website has really taken off throughout 2013, culminating in our visitor numbers more than doubling in October. There were well over 3,000 visitors to FRG.ie during the month, up from last months 1,381.
The number of page views was over double the previous record of 4,038, with an impressive 8,311 pages viewed on FRG.ie during October 2013.
The two biggest sources of traffic to the website have been Google Search (1,174 visitors in October), and Facebook (1,111), but there were also over 500 visitors who came direct. This figure includes people who typed our website address directly into their browsers, or who had bookmarked the website in their favourites.
During October 2013, our website visitors viewed an average of 2.54 pages per visit, whilst spending 3 minutes 26 seconds every time they visited frg.ie.

In total since it’s launch in August 2009, there have been almost 20,000 visits to the website and just over 50,000 pages viewed, but there has been a noticeable rise in numbers throughout this year. And that’s because we have been working hard to build the right kind of website that can help to (1) act as a decent newswire/information source for the James’ Street/Thomas Street, and the general Dublin 8 area, and (2) build the organisations’ online profile.
Our quest began in January with the building of this new version of FRG.ie. It was launched at the beginning of March, and by the time the summer had ended, we had the site completely tweaked technically, and we had started to give the newswire a tremendous push.
Now we believe that we are beginning to achieve our goals, with our local newswire gaining a positive reaction, and with the Fountain Resource Group organisation becoming much more visual online.
