Free Public Seminar Explaining Irish Planning System (Dec 06)

Introduction to the Irish Planning System - Seminar in Dublin 2013

The Irish Planning Institute (IPI) is holding a special event in the city centre tomorrow, which is aimed at explaining the planning process here in Ireland to the general public. The IPI hope to be able to ‘demystify’ the whole process for everyday folks, with the hope that we may walk away being more informed about the planning process that currently exists within the Republic of Ireland.

This looks like a very interesting and useful event, and the admission is free. According to the IPI… “Previous seminars have been attended by residents associations and community groups, those beginning to engage with the planning system, and members of the public with an interest in the built environment”.

Event: Introducing Your Planning System
Date: Friday, December 06, 2013
Time: 3.30pm
Location: The Gibson Hotel, Dublin 1
Admission: €Free
Bookings: email info@ipi.ie or phone 01 878 8630

Here is some of the official press release about this event… “The seminar is supported by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht under the Government Policy on Architecture 2009-2015. Presented by professional planners, the seminar will provide an introduction to planning permission and enforcement and the work of the planner, as well as explaining how the public can get involved in the making of Development Plans”.
