Dublin native, Alice Lynskey, is making some impressive waves on The Hit tv show, on RTE for her songwriting skills. Her song was chosen as the track that legendary Irish rock outfit, The Stunning, recorded and released.
Alice’s track, entitled ‘Run and Hide’, is doing very well in the Irish charts this week, having just entered the Top 10, while the competing track is hovering a little below that. So please do text your vote, because every vote counts!

HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS
The Hit is a real music competition that is giving fledgling songwriters a chance to have chart success with an established artist. In each episode six chosen songwriters will pitch their songs to two established artists in The Pitching Rooms. The two artists race from one pitching room to the next to listen to each track. The artist will be under pressure to select a song that they believe they can turn into their next hit. The two artists then produce one track each which they will reveal by performing it live on the show. Out of the two songs, the song that charts the hightest on the Official Irish Singles Chart across the week following the broadcast on Friday 26th July until midnight on Thursday 1st August, will automatically go forward to the grand finale on the 30th August where they will perform with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and battle it out with 4 other finalists. You at home will then have the final say and choose The Song Of The Series, The Ultimate Hit, with the winner of the show receiving a €20,000 prize.
