The Newmarket-based substance misuse recovery centre, Casadh, has launched a brand new website. This is a website that I have been working hard on, for the past few months, and it has been launched yesterday. The launch date was set to coincide with the organisations’ film premiere in Liberty Hall today.
They are debuting their new website alongside the excellent ‘Locked out!’ short film, made by people who are undergoing treatment whilst recovering from substance misuse as part of the Casadh programme. This programme consist of the ‘Casadh 3-Step-Process‘, which enables recovery via three CE schemes.

With chronic addiction issues in some pockets of our local area, I felt privileged to help one of the services – that is helping locals in such a profound way – by presenting their resources and additional information which can aid those who are seeking recovery from substance misuse, and their loved ones too.
I had previously created the Community Addiction Programme website, another Dublin 8-based service for those who are suffering from addiction, so to create the Casadh website was a nice opportunity for me to help another local community service gain a decent online presence.
I’m currently chatting to some other local groups about building a proper website for them also, because in this age of austerity, a decent public profile may help to stop funding cuts. It’s obviously also important to have substantial information available to local people, about local services.
