One Dublin woman has come up with a unique idea that will offer you an alternative type of birthday, hen or team building party in Dublin. From her Docklands base, Ayelet Lalor will treat you and your friends/colleagues to an unforgettable day out. Ayelet will teach you the basics of painting and decorating clay, whilst you are sipping away on a glass of vino, bubbly, or coffee if you wish!
At the end of the class you will have a fully finished tea cup, tile or plate, which you have decorated yourself, to keep forever. Ayelet describes why she uses tea cups; “The teacup theme was chosen because there is something about the act of drinking out of a teacup that is so inherently pleasant; it brings out the Lady in all of us modern, busy, clumpy, contemporary women”.
Dublin Creative Parties are a fantastic gift to pass on to anybody who is having a birthday. What a nice surprise that would be! Ayelet can cater for groups of up to 16 people at her Docklands studio (all pictures on this page are from that studio, and taken by White Tea), but larger groups can be looked after if required, at an external venue. These fun alternative-styled parties last about two and a half hours in total.
Party Packages
There are three different creative party packages…
A) Teacups and saucers (€49 per person) – Tea will taste even better drunk from your own decorated cup
B) 3 dimensional tiles (€40 per person) – Add 3d elements to your painted tile, then bring it home to hang on the wall
C) Painted plates (€40 per person) – Enjoy cake from your own painted plate, or choose to hang it on the wall to admire
Prices include a glass of sparkling Prosecco, a home-made sweet, music, party atmosphere and everything to make the finished pieces. Colourful aprons are provided to protect your clothes, alongside modeling tools, paintbrushes and all materials. Music is also provided but you are welcome to bring along your ipod to listen to your own sounds. After the party, all ceramic pieces will be dried, fired and clear-glazed, and can be collected one week later, wrapped in colourful tissue. Alternatively, they can be sent by post or courier.
