2 Onions (sliced)
250g Bacon (chopped)
5 Garlic Heads (chopped)
Carrots (chopped)
5 cm Ginger (chopped)
1kg Marinara Mix
Fresh West Coast Mussels
3 Can Smoked Mussels
1/2 Bottle White Wine
1 Lemon Juice
1 L Fish Stock
¼ Cup Flour
Salt and Pepper
Handful Flat Leaf Parsley (torn)
Handful Coriander (torn)
Cocktail Tomatoes


1. Fry the onion and bacon when almost done add garlic, carrots and ginger.

2. As soon as all the ingredients are infused, add marinara mix, fresh and smoked mussels, 1/2 bottle wine, lemon juice, fish stock and zest.

3. Mix the flour with little water, to make a paste. Add to the pot to thicken the sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste.

4. 5 min before serving add parsley, coriander and tomatoes.

Preparation time is an estimated 40-50 minutes
