The Parochial Hall Is Getting A New Floor

The Parochial Hall here at St. James’s Church is getting a new floor put in. The middle part of the floor is being replaced and the front and end part of the floor will be sanded down and re-varnished.

The Old Isolde Flooring Co., owned by Mark Ellis is doing the floor and started work on it last week. They are hoping to be finished by the 10th of September. The middle part of the floor that is being replaced is the original floor and nearly 100 years old, we assume, it might be even older.

The church itself is 172 years-old and the hall was built at a later stage. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the on-going work on the floor.

For the moment the Bowels that are played on Tuesday afternoons will be cancelled, but by mid September Yoga, the Senior Citizens Club and other activities will resume as normal.
