Saint Patrick was born in Wales. At age 16 Patrick was kidnapped by pirates and sold in slavery. Also Patrick’s real name is Maewyn Succat. He was a slave for 6 years. Finally, he did escape from Ireland.
He then went to France. He became a priest and then he became a Bishop. St. Patrick dreamed that an angel told him to return to Ireland so he did.
St. Patrick taught people in Ireland about God. He got rid of all the snakes in Ireland and he built lodes churches in Ireland. He lived up a mountain called Crough Patrick. He died Around 460 or 493 on the 17th of March and that’s why Patrick’s day is celebrated on the 17th of March.
