Senior Citizen’s Christmas Party
The Senior Citizens Christmas Party had a change of venue from its usual location of St James Presbytery and this year it took place in the Old Convent Chapel on Basin Lane.
The Chapel was beautifully decorated by Mary Flynn with lovely Christmas tablecloths, Christmas decorations and crackers creating a real warm atmosphere.
The senior citizens had roast sirloin beef, homemade gravy, peas, croquettes and buttered carrots. The meal was finished with banana port/sherry trifle with custard, followed by tea. Of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas with a little wine and beer too!
Entertainment was provided by Patsy Fagan and company, who provided some Christmas cheer with festive classics.
The senior citizens were also given a Christmas hamper full of goodies!
