The Day Fatima Rocked

fatime rock

On Sunday 15th May 2016, at the F2 Center here in Fatima Dublin 8, we had a great day of live music. We had live music from Rap & Hip Hop artist Andrew aka Mad AB Slim, who gave us two tunes of his up and coming EP “The Darkness.” Andrew also came down from Drogheda, to give us this one off performance. You can check out an interview with Andrew here: http://www.frg.ie/culture/meet-mad-a-b-slim/

Up next came Newkind. We had four tunes from them including Dedication, Missing You, Dreaming, and Forget Failing. Newkind also had on site, a copy of their new EP. You can check out Newkind’s interview here: http://www.frg.ie/culture/new-kid-on-the-block/

Cale Smith also took to the stage. Cale also took the opportunity to release his new EP Development, at this music event. Development has been received well by various people, including your favorite on line digital news wire the fountain, check out the review here: http://www.frg.ie/useful-info/new-ep-release-by-cale-smith/

Cale gave us four tunes, including a couple of his first EP – This Is It. First up was a tune by the same title This Is It, followed by Live For It & Die for it . He also gave us two of his latest tunes from his new EP – Development.

Up next we had Awol Active. They preformed with acoustic guitars and treated us to covers. Not so long ago, Awol Active gave us an insight to who they where, check out the link: http://www.frg.ie/culture/meet-awol-active/

Before Motion Control came on we had some presentations. Top Notch who was our presenter for the day handed out cert presentations. Newkind, Cale Smith, Awol Active, Motion Control, Red Cross Ireland, and Kilmainham Community Garda, were all acknowledged for their commitment and dedication in making this day special. Top Notch also received a cert for her outstanding work on the day.

At the time of getting the certs printed, Mad AB Slim, was not originally on the bill so he was not on the certs. Sorry Mad AB Slim.

Motion Control took to the stage and gave us a great show. This group led by Conor Hamilton, is a splinter group if you like from Ballroom Blitz. They gave us a great live show. We had covers from the Smith’s such as This Charming Man, we also had Awol Nations – Sail. We had a cover by the ever so popular music guru group, The Arctic Monkeys, in which Motion Control, nailed there song – I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor. We also had an original tune by them called Dirty Colours which was only released about 3 weeks ago.
