This Summer, an exciting new event called 50/50 will be taking place. The 50/50 music project will host performances from some of the best upcoming artists in Dublin. The man behind this cause is James Hamilton, who has a passion for local music talent and came up with the idea to host a music gig to raise funds for the Samaritans.

Samaritans was founded in 1953 by Chad Varah in London. The movement became a huge success and expanded across the UK and Ireland. The charity is available 24 hours a day providing support for people in distress. The organisation has raised awareness for people struggling with depression and contemplating suicide. The volunteers at the Samaritans are trained to listen carefully to each individuals situation in a confidential manner. You can contact the Samaritans on: 1850 60 90 90.

Expect an entertaining evening with performances from Conor Hamilton, Cale Smith, AWOL, Ballroom Blitz and many more. If you want to be part of this event, come and show your support on July 19th at St Andrews Community Centre on Pearse Street. The event begins at 7pm and entry fee is €4. We here at the Fountain would like to wish James and all who are involved with this event a wonderful and successful evening!
